At Dewata Studio Wholesale we work only with carefully selected types of wood that guarantee quality and consistency in every batch. Each wood variety is personally selected by our team – evaluated for density, texture and natural stability so that our wholesale kuripe and tepi shipments retain their shape and finish.

Below are several exclusive wood types used in our handmade Kuripe & Tepi collections.

Tepi Ganesha Dewata Studio Wholesale

Tamarind Wood

One of the hardest, most durable woods — it feels almost stone-like. Tamarind is challenging to carve, but that’s what makes pieces made from tamarind long-lasting and resilient. Ideal for wholesale kuripe models where durability matters.

Eagle Fly Smoking pipe

Cemara Wood

Distinctive aroma of pine and expressive wood grain. The surface naturally shifts from light to dark tones, creating depth and contrast. Cemara also accepts fire-etching (decorative burning) easily — making it a strong choice for models that feature engraving and designs.

Kuripe Colibri

Sawo Wood

Extra-dense and heavy with a warm pink-brown hue. Similar hardness to tamarind, and requires skilled finishing. After polishing, sawo develops a smooth glossy surface, giving the final product a refined appearance.

Quetzal Dragon Tepi

Coconut Wood

Only the outer layer of old tree trunks is used — the inner core is too soft and unsuitable. Coconut wood is harder to work with due to its fibrous texture, but it yields unique striped patterns and natural character. Used in classic Kuripe & Tepi models, and our “Standing Kuripe” and “Love Shape Kuripe” collections.

Beyond these exclusive woods, Dewata Studio Wholesale also offers other wood varieties for our standard series and bulk orders. We will cover these in our next publication — “Regular Wood Collection – Dewata Studio Wholesale”.
